Novotel hotels are very spotty. Some of them are excellent. I stayed in a Bangkok Novotel 2 weeks ago and it was great. Some are old fashion, this one for instance!

The gym is very small, but if you like running try outside. When walking out of the hotel, turn left. 1 min later the forrest/park starts. Good place to run.

Close to airport. There is a shuttle to airport in every half hour. Clean and frienly. Best before departure.
