The hike can be steep but rewarding at the summit. The beach is inviting and the people are friendly. Best to go when it's sunny.

The Gold Coast of New Zealand. Don't get trapped just at main beach though. Tay street surf and lots of other cool sections that are much less crowded. Make sure you go for a walk up the Mount itself

Stay on the main beach to people watch and swim between the flags, head away from the Mount, past the island for a quieter beach

Just peachy. Beautiful girls, tasty food and a whole lot going on. Surfs up here - without being pretentious. A must see and do!

At night you can find penguins amongst all the rocks on the side of Leisure Island.
