Hotel rooms are not soundproof! You can literally hear noises and conversations from the room next to you..however, I love the hotel terrace and the view is breathtaking.

Overlooking Lake Maggiore, the Hotel Villa & Palazzo Aminta offers Italian luxury at (reasonable) prices. Try the Turkish bath, and get a room in the main building. Hotel offers shuttles into Stresa.
