When on Oahu, I highly recommend visiting the beaches of Kailua and Lanikai, particularly if you are interested in active outdoor recreation. I have utilized KBA each of my past 3 visits to Honolulu.

Undoubtedly the best place to rent kayaks. They put them on carts so you can easily walk them to the beach. The other places load them on your car. I highly recommend kayaking to the Moku Islands.
