If you are taking the downtown train to the F, settle in a seat in the front car and take to broadway Lafayette. It takes a little longer but you can sit down for a long time.

For the time being on Sunday mornings there's no downtown service. Give yourself extra time to take 6 to Pelham Bay then come back down.

Places to eat include Twin Donut,Subway,White Castle,the "wonton" place.also have Apple,Chase&Capital One Banks nearby.Also Rite Aid&Walgreens.
