Building is being purchased, and the visitor's center run by the NPS will be rennovates and enlarged. We basically had an elevator operator. Will come back!

Since the 2011 earthquake closed the Washington Monument, the 315 ft Old Post Office Bell Tower is the highest viewpoint open to the public to get a 360 view of the city. Admission is free.

The views from the bell tower are worth a visit! Can see all of the monuments from up high and get a view of the Capitol that is stunning!
