There was no queues on Saturday in March. Current exhibition is impressive and on loan from an American museum. It's called Impressionism and avant-garde. Reduced student ticket is 10€ and worth it.

A palazzo Reale ci sono sempre mostre molto interessanti. Suggerisco di prendere sempre il biglietto prima, soprattutto le più importanti. Altrimenti farete code molto lunghe.
