Stuffed animals from every continent, a sense of what museums were like in an earlier era, and friendly staff. It’s also Free. Totally worth a visit, even for 30 minutes if you’re nearby.

The museum was built in 1856 for parts of the collection of the Royal Dublin Society and the building and collection were later passed to the State.

Dead zoo in the original Victorian style. Penny Dreadfulwas filmed here. The upper floors are closed, but may open next year.

Not much to see here.. But worth visiting if you're in the area (free); also visit nearby places (archaeological museum + national gallery + Oscar Wilde statue)
