The streets are easier to navigate here than in Lijiang and there's more in terms of shopping here too. Very lively place and you can rent a bicycle to cycle through the old town. Nice city walls!

Nice qiuet peaceful area compared to Lijiang one, if you have time can spend 2days here to enjoy the lake and canshang

If you are sick of yi Ren tang veg buffet, lotus veg restaurant serves all you can eat for 18 kwai. Only lunch though. But the ala carte is highly recommended too.

For vegetarian, check out Yi Ren Tang for cheap simple meal (¥5 for all you can eat). Come early though.
